I don't have a chemistry textbook... but I googled that zinc has a denisty of 7.140 g/mL and tin has a density of 7.31. Therefore, tin is heavier? But wait why? How did I know the density? Or how do you find it? ...

If those numbers are correct, then tin is heavier than zinc.  Density is mass per unit volume.  For a given volume, the higher density element has more mass, and therefor is heavier.
