An oak tree measured 9 feet tall. A nearby maple tree measured 7 feet tall. When they measured the trees 2 years later, the oak tree was 54 feet tall and the maple tree was 49 feet tall. Which tree grew faster?

The maple tree. The oak tree increased it's height by a factor of 6 (9x6=54) while the maple tree increased it's height by a factor of 7 (7x7=49).
