Calculus will seem easy if you have the right tutor!
I'll do: 1. The sum of three numbers is 69. The first number is one less than the second number. The third number is seven more than the second number.
LET X = SECOND NUMBER...THEN THE FIRST NUMBER HAS TO BE X-1. AND THE THIRD NUMBER =X+7.
Their sum: x-1 + x + x+7 = 69. Can you finish this?
The others all require similar effort to CHOOSE AN UNKNOWN and represents the others in terms of that unknown.
Go for it!
