 Just write one repeated pattern in the numerator, and 9 's equal to amount of digits in the denominator.

 

 i.e,

 

   1/ 7 = 0.142857 143    / from the calculaor

 

       142857 =  1 

        999999    7

    

      7(142857) = 999999     / Test for equivalence  by cross multiplying.
