Newspaper profit

A newspaper's profit is $20 per year for each of its 2,500 subscribers. Management estimates that the profit per subscriber will increase by 1¢ for each additional subscriber over the current 2,500. How many subscribers will bring a total profit of $180,000?

Is the problem saying that each subscriber returns a $20 profit, or is the total profit for the first 2500 subscribers $20?

Ok, thank you. So, if there are 2500 subscribers, then that would mean a total profit of $50,000
