the product of two numbers is 9375 and the quotient, when the larger one is divided by the smaller is 15 the sum of the number is

large first no x
small second no 9375/x

(9375/x)/x=15
(9375/x^2)=15
9375=15x^2
625=x^2
25=x

9375/25=375

large no is 25
small no is 375

how it possible because i assume x as large no so how come 25 as large no i did exact what question is
so how my answer is wrong

You said let x = the larger number. The problem says when the larger is divided by the smaller, then the quotient is 15. Dividing the larger by the smaller would be

x ÷ (9375/x) = 15

Now, you have to multiply by the reciprocal of 9375/x, which is x/9375

So, you have x * (x/9375) = 15

x²/9375 = 15

If you cross multiply, you will now see that x = 375, the larger of the two numbers.
