lisa has choreographeddance steps for 3/5 of a song.if she has completed the choreography for 2 minutes, how many minutes long is the song? white your answer in simplest form.

Rocky, there are different ways to do this.

 

(3/5)x = 2 minutes

(5/3)(3/5)x = 2(5/3)

x = 10/3 = 3 1/3 minutes (or 3 minutes, 20 seconds)

 

Another way is to draw 5 boxes. If 3 of them are 2 minutes (120 seconds) then each box must be 40 seconds and 5 of them equal 200 seconds = 3 minutes, 20 seconds.
