2(x^2)^2 - 11(x^2) + 12 = 0
x^2 = (--11 ± sqrt((-11)^2 - 4(2)(12)))/(2*2)
x^2 = (11 ± sqrt(121 - 96))/4
x^2 = (11 ± sqrt(25))/4
x^2 = (11 ± 5)/4
x^2 = 4 or 3/2
Take sqrt of both sides:
|x| = 2 or sqrt(6)/2
x = ±2 or ±sqrt(6)/2
