Name the property that justifies the statement

I have a feeling that the real question should be naming the property that justify -9+(4+x)=(-9+4)+x in that case it would be addition property. The reason I say this is because when distributing the following equation you get -9 + 16 +4x = -9+4+x . This all simplify to 7+4x=4x-9 and from my recollection this is a false or no solution statement.
