r2 = 64 (take square root) OK...but on the face of it r = ±8...unless further considerations (which must be attempted) rule it out.
 
How about this approach?  since rb=72 & bg=36, dividing tells us r/g = 2; hence r = 2g.
 
Since rg = 32, then (2g)g = 32 by substituting for r; so g2 = 16.  Thus g = 4 or -4.
