Is this $2100 ?
Let John's money = x
Let Jay's money = y
Let Joseph's money = z
x + y + z = 2100
y = 2x
z = 2y = 2(2x) = 4x
x + 2x + 4x = 2100
7x = 2100
x = 2100/7 = 300
John gets 300
Jay gets 2(300) = 600
Joseph gets 4(300) = 1200
If the original number isn't 2100 then just substitute the
correct amount in the problem and follow the same process
