y = -(1/5)x - 4
This equation is of the form
y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b is the y-axis intercept. Therefore,
slope = m = -(1/5)
y-intercept = b = -4. The coordinates of the the y-intercept are (0,b) = (0,-4).
Andrea, the equation of a line in slope-intercept form is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the t-intercept.
Rearrange what you have then...
y = -1/5x - 4
Your slope is -1/5 and the slope is -4.
Hope this helps!
