Please help with word problem

Angeliki is sticking adhesive digits on the faces of some cuckoo clocks.  She has separate compartments of 0s, 1s, 2s, and so on.  If she completes 7 clock faces, how many individual digits does she use?

Answer 1

For one clock, she'll use 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

or five 1s, two 2s, and one each of all digits 0 & 3 through 9 --total of 15 digits.

 

For seven clocks she's use 105 digits:

35 1s, 14 2s, and seven each of 0, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

The hours on a clock face are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
