convert each equation from polar form to rectangular form.type the equation in rectangular form and state what type of graph is formed.

1.r=3sec theta

2.r=5/(cos theta -2sin theta)

And convert each of the following equations from rectangular form to polar form.

1.2x-3y=5

2.x^2+y^2=10

Kenneth S.

x^2+y^2=10  looks like a circle having radius √10, center at Origin.
Its equation in polar coordinates (center at 'Pole') is simply r = √10 (theta can be anything).

For 2x-3y=5, second problem in second pair of equations), I suggest that you compare  the answer for # 2 in the first pair--there's a strong similariy that you can use!
