Use the point-slope form, y − y1 = m(x − x1):
y − (−5) = 3(x − 3),
then simplify and rewrite in the slope-intercept form, y = mx + b.
y + 5 = 3x − 9
y = 3x − 14
is the correct slope-intercept form.
