If .3720g of sulfer dioxide dissolves in 2.0L of water at 722 Torr, at what pressure would you be able to dissolve .4960g in the same amount of water?

According to Henry's law, the concentration of a gas dissolved in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas above the liquid.  The problem can be solved by setting up the following proportion:

 

X /.4960 = 722 / .3720

 

X = 963 Torr
