A. The sqrt of -1 is i therefore:

3-√16 x √-1 simplified to a+bi form is:

3-4i

B. Not asked to do anything here but if you take the sqrt of -4 = √4 x √-1 = 2i

C.-2i+i2  i2=-1

-1-2i

D. √-432 = √432 x √-1= 43i

E. 3i2-5i3 = 3(-1)-5(-1)(i) = -3+5i
