what is 3pl/2 times pi in radians?

Question

I can do pi/2 times pi and know that it is 2pi/2 and reduces to pi, but I am confused on how to do 3pi/2 times pi.

pi/2 times pi is actually pi² / 2.    (pi times pi = pi²)

so 3pi/2 times pi is 3pi²/2

 

 3 pi      pi       3 pi pi      3 pi²

----- * ----  = --------  =  -----

   2       1            2            2

 

(It's a little strange to be multiplying pi times pi... was this from a 'real world problem'

or just a mathematical excersize?)
