Find dimensions of garden

Anna has a rectangular garden whose length is 6 meters longer than its width. The perimeter of the garden is 28 meters. Find the dimentions of the garden.

2l + 2w = 28

 

l = w + 6

 

2(w + 6) + 2w =28

2w + 12 + 2w = 28

4w = 16

w = 4

 

l = 4 + 6 = 10
