Step Two: Create Equation

6(31-x)+7.50x=211.50 Distribute

186-6x+7.50x=211.50 Combine Like Terms

186+1.5x=211.50 Subtract 186 from both sides 

1.5x=25.5 Divide both sides by 1.5

x=17

∴ Joe worked 14 hours at job A. He worked 17 hours at job B.
