Usually it is difficult to solve a problem if the question ends in mid-sentence.
But if they're asking you to find out what the increments added each week were, and assuming there's no interest being earned, then you start with $45, and each week we add some amount "x" to the account. The amount is the same each week, so after 5 weeks we have added 5x dollars to the account. The total amount, we are told, ended up being $105. This means that:
$45 +5x=$105
5x = $105-$45
5x = $60
x = 12$
So every week we must have added $12 to the account.

Now it seems you'v spliced two unrelated questions together. I can't write an equation for the number of y gallons in a tub after x minutes if I only know how much money you have in a savings account.
