A math tutor that is both knowledgeable and patient in secondary math.
The sum of a number p and 7 can be represented by p+ 7. If this number, that is the number represented by p + 7 is divided by 12 it yields a result of 3. Since we know that 36 divided by 12 is 3 then this number, p + 7, must be 36.
Now, if P + 7 equals 36 then p by itself must equal 29 since 29 + 7 makes 36.
The answer is 29.
