What does it look like to draw four 4 different rectangles, all of which have a perimeter of 8 inches. At least 2 of your rectangles should have side lengths that are not whole numbers. (in inches) Label the rectangles with their lengths and widths.

The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle is ....
Perimeter = 2L + 2W
Thus, we can take half the perimeter, and that should be equal to the sum of 2 consecutive sides.
So the length plus the width is half of 8, which is 4
Here are some combinations for length and with which meet this criteria.
- length of 2, width of 2
- length of 3, width of 1
- length of 2.5, width of 1.5
- length of 3.5, width of .5
