Understanding math via the real world.
As long as the things in A don't repeat you can describe a function (a relationship) between A and B.
For example A could be people and B could be activities. Jim goes biking, Mary goes swimming, etc.
The only restriction is that someone can't do 2 different things. So Jim can't go biking and also swimming. It is ok for Bill to go swimming with Mary though.
When you start working with numbers, you don't want x values to repeat (but y values are ok).
Can you come up with the other examples?
