This problem, as written, requires the student to have memorized the form for the basic harmonic oscillator and the velocity and acceleration relationships. Also to remember the force of a spring with the spring constant, and the relationship of the potential energy of the spring to the force. This is much easier when you can derive most of the relationships from the basics of the Force with a spring constant, and. the basic harmonic oscillator (HO), and use the derivatives of the (HO) to get velocity and acceleration of the block. I recommend the solution be enhanced to include some basic derivatives and integrals.
