Circumference and radius

Brad is putting an 8 foot diameter circular flower garden in his yard. He would put plastic edging along the flower bed. How many feet of edging will Brad need to enclose his flower garden? How many square feet of land are in Brad's Garden?

Isn't this a Circumference problem?  Formula for Circumference: C = pi•diameter.  Use pi = 3.1416.

 

From diameter, you should be able to compute the radius--then the Area of the circular garden = pi•r²
