The key to finding the ages of all 3 is finding Carl's age.  So, let's put all the ages in relation to Carl (C).  We have C, C-5 (for Brandon) and 2C+4 (for Angelo).  We also know that the average of the 3 numbers is 41.  That means that the total of all 3 ages is 41 x 3.

 

So, here's the formula:

   C + (C-5) + (2C+4) = 41 x 3

 

From there ...

   4C - 1 = 123

   4C = 124

   C = 31

 

Now that we have Carl's age, the rest isn't hard.  In case you need help ...

  Carl = 31, Brandon = 26, Angelo  = 66

 

You can double check by averaging them to be sure the average is 41.
