How to solve for x? Thanks!

Question

(3x+4)/3  -  (x-1)/5=2 P.s the whole equation is equalling to 2 and there is a subtraction sign in the middle not a negative sign.

3x + (4/3) - x - (1/5) = 2
 

Multiply everything by LCM of 15 to get rid of fractions:

  45x + 20 - 15x - 3 = 30

     30x + 17 = 30

       30x = 13

     x   =  13/30

3x + (4/3) - x - (1/5) = 2

 

if so

 

Combine the 2 x terms and combine the two fractions

2x + 17/15 = 2

2x = -2/15

x = -1/15
