I believe that Starlyte misinterpreted the question; I see it as a rational algebraic function f(x), having a numerator & a denominator.  This is, admittedlly, difficult to convey on WyzAnt's platform, but if you look closely you'll see a reasonable attempt to show a horizontal dividing line beneath the numerator...
