How do I make a frequency distribution based on respondent's location/provinces?

I'm trying to make a frequency distribution for a set a data from stats canada on location of respondents, so for the left hand column do I write down the name of the provinces? or just the code number? Also, the data given to me has a frequency chart already Im pretty sure, so does my prof just want me to do exactly whats there or am I missing something?

Yes, so I would list the actual names of the locations beside the frequencies and not just the "code" that is associated with them in the data?

By code do you mean a province code (like our zip code)?
