Sound waves can be modeled by sine functions of the form y =a sin bx, where x is measured in seconds. Write an equation of a sound wave whose amplitude is 2 and whose period is 1/264 second. What is the frequency of the sound wave described?

Based on the form stated, I would assume that "a" is the amplitude and "b" is a more complicated expression that can be simplified to b = 2πƒ or 2pi*frequency. Frequency is simply 1/T, in this case 264 hz.
