what is the price unit per kilogram of package

A super market has a special price on 3-kg package of minced beef. The normal price is $45.  The special price is "Buy 3, Get 1". I don't know if the $45 is for 1 or 3 packages

There is no way for me to be sure, but in my shopping experience, the $45 would be for one package. Based on that, you're getting 4 packages for the price of 3*45=$135. So the unit price is the total cost divided by the total kg of beef.

 

135/(4*3) = $11.25/kg
