Integers are whole numbers, and consecutive integers are whole numbers that are next to each other with a space of "1" between them, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4... or -2, 1, 0, 1....
Thus, if the first integer is "x" the next is "x+1" then "x+2" and "x+3."
The sum = x+x+1+x+2+x+3 = 4x+6.
If you have trouble with these things or need more help and are interested in online lessons, I would be happy to tutor!
