One box of Swiss Miss Cocoa Mix weighs 0.385 kg, but 39 grams of this weight is the packaging. Find the actual weight of the cocoa in 8 boxes.

Based on that the weight of cocoa in each box would be 0.385 - 0.039 or 0.346 kg per box

 

For 8 boxes, the weight of cocoa is (8 boxes) (0.346 kg/box) = 2.768 kg

0.385 Kg = 385 g  Since 39 g is what the packaging weighs, subtract 39 g from 385 g to get 346 g.in one box. In 8 boxes there would be 8 times 346 g or 2,768 g or 2.768 Kg
