Math stuff

Please help me solve this this equation :
                                                         a+bx=cx

                                         a,b,c are constant number ,we need to solve x

I dont know if I express correcly so here is example :

                                                         3+4x=5x
                                                        a=3 , b=4 , c=5 just solve x

In this context "solve for x" means isolate the "x" on one side of the equation. This is not possible for all value of a, b, and c as required in the presentation.

Solve for x means the same as Find the solution to the problem or What is the value of x that satisfies the equation. In the first case ( a+bx=cx), you have a point there.
In the second case, where specific values were given for a and b, 3+4x=5x, you are expected to find the value of x that satisfies the equation.

My comment was based on forty years experience teaching all levels of high school mathematics. "Solve for x" and "solve" are general interpreted as two difference operations.
The "second case" was an examples to clarify the object equation.
