Therefore the oldest child is 43.

 

 

Since she was 19 when she had her 43 year old, you add 19 to 43.

We need to turn this into an algebraic expression.

 

Her youngest son is 19 and she had all 9 children 3 years apart.

 

She was 19 when her oldest son was born.

 

Lady's current age = 19 + 19 + 8(3)

The first 19 represents the woman's age when she first gave birth

The 2nd 19 is the age of her youngest son

8(3) represents the difference in age between the youngest son and the oldest son

 

So the lady is 19+19+24 = 62
