Mikala, There are several ways to solve this equation.
ml and g are not the same measures so you have to choose to express the weights or masses in common terminology.
Now, a cm3 is about the same size as a ml. So, I would convert 5.00 ml of mercury to density. A quick web search would show Hg (mercury) is about 13.534 g/cm3 or about 13.534 g / ml. So, 5.00 x 13.534 = ? g
Now, Take that answer and add to 87.3 g beaker
5.00 ml x 13.534 g/ml = 67.7 g
Add Beaker weight of 87.3
67.7 + 87.3 = 155 g
Original equation would look like
(5.00 ml x 13.534 g/ml) + 87.7
67.7 + 87.3=155
