This is the first and only test I have taken in the class. Tests are worth 34%. What is now my grade in the class if I had a 100% but got a 61% on the test?

the 61% is worth 34%

the 100% is worth 66%

34% of 61%=0.34*61=20.74

66% of 100%=0.66*100=66

66+20.74=86.74% is your grade now and rounded off would be 87%, a B+

look at it this way...

61% is about 1/3 of your grade (33 1/3%≈34%)

100% is about 2/3 of your grade

61+100+100=261, 261/3=87%
