Please explain with example how we can add more than 3 numbers for addition properties of commutative and associative?

Communtative

 

4 + 5 + 7 + 9 = 9 + 7 + 5 + 4

 

Commutative property just means that as long as you are adding all the numbers, it doesn't matter what order you add them in.

 

Associative

 

(8 + 3) + (6 +2) + (4 + 7) = (8 + 2) + (7 + 3) + (4 + 6)

 

Associative is grouping.  Once again, as long as you are adding all the numbers, it doesn't matter how you group them.  * On the right side, all the groupings equal ten, but both sides equal 30.
