You can use any point. Using test points, whether you have a system of equations or system of inequalities, is a way to verify if the coordinate is a solution to the system. If you take a coordinate point (x, y), and plug in the value of x and y into the equations or inequalities that are part of the system, then the equations or inequalities in that system must be true.
Take for example the system of inequalities
x + y > 6
x - y > 10
Lets guess a possible coordinate point that will make the inequalities true. Suppose the coordinate is (12, -5).
Plug in the x coordinate and y coordinate into these inequalities.
If both inequalities are true, then the coordinate is a solution. If only one of the inequalities is true, then the coordinate is not a solution.
