The seven seas is a poetic and old-fashioned way of referring to all the various oceans. Officially, I think they are the Arctic, Antarctic, North Pacific, South Pacific, North Atlantic, South Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, but the phrase usually just means "a lot of places in the world."
