Why does Na2CO3H2O break down into Na2CO3+H2O?

The rule in our notes says that a hydrated salt will always decompose into the salt and water, but we also have another rule in those notes that says a metallic carbonate always has to break down into a metallic oxide and carbon dioxide.

So, wouldn't the products be NaO+CO2+H2O instead? (it's not balanced obviously)

I don't understand, am I not supposed to use all the decomposition rules for the reaction?
