Perfect .mp4 file to horrible looking YouTube video. Why?

This is what happens when I upload to YouTube:

I use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) to record mainly but have tried others and get the same problem. I've tried encoding with NVENC, x264 and Quick Sync and fiddled with settings for hours. Like I said the original file output is perfect and during the upload to YouTube it goes to garbage. What could be the problem?

Try exporting as a 1080p file (.mov)

Open the mp4 file ondesk top, Go to File in tool bar, scroll down to "Export as," click on 1080p.
