word problem

A teacher is planning a trip to France.  A plane that will hold up to 75 people has been chartered for $100,000 and admission tickets to events in Paris are $250 each.  If the cost of the trip is set at $1,500 per person, what is the minimum number of students needed to commit for the trip to "make"? Teachers and chaperones travel for free.

Lisa I believe you neglected to figure in the places for the teachers and chaperones.  We don't know how many there are, but that number would reduce the possible maximum number.

Also, the question appears to indicate that tickets to events in Paris are an additional $250 per person.  So each student would be paying ($1,500 + $250 =) $1,750.

Sorry, I have to go now, so I don't have time to come up with my own solution. :)
