This is the same as any other equation, so don't get tripped up by the "º" signs. Because it is the same, we will use the usual order of operations: PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction). If you do the operations in this order, the answer should come out very nicely.
Here we go:
(2x+4)° + (2x + -9)° + x° = 180° | Original Statement
2xº + 4º + 2xº - 9º +xº = 180º | Distribute degree sign through parentheses
5xº - 5º = 180 | Combine like terms
+5º +5º | Add 5º to both sides
5xº / 5º = 185º / 5º | Divide by 5º on both sides to get x alone
x = 37 | Answer
