Graphing functions on graph help :(

Hi, 

I'm so lost with this. I need help graphing the functions.

Hi Alex

 

The function for company B is a piecewise  function as the one you have in the graph for company A.

 

You have to graph each interval

 

For interval [0,2] you have a linear function with slope 4 and y intersect in 1, so it starts at y=1 and ends at y=9 for x=2.

 

For interval [2,4] the function is constant y=9

 

For interval [4,13] the function is quadratic starts y=9 and for x=13 , y=18 

 

For interval [13,14] the function is constant y=18

 

For interval [14,16] the function is linear with a negative slope equal to -7 and y intersect 116.. This function for x=14 is 18 and for x=16 y=4 

 

For interval [16,22] the function is quadratic, looking down parabola, for x=16 , y= 4 and for x=22, y=7

 

You can help yourself with a graph plotter for the quadratic functions.
