For this question, think about what happens when air moves vertically. For this example we will say the air is rising. This is typically caused by a "hotspot" on the surface of the earth (a black asphalt parking lot, or a dark freshly plowed field, for example). This "hotspot" heats the air above it which makes it rise. Now, because the air over the hotspot rises, it must be replaced by surrounding air on the surface. This replacement flow of air is what we feel as wind. So the correct answer is b) wind.
