Hi Joe,
Let's think about this logically.
1 cup of milk makes 12 cookies.
If you wanted to make twice as many cookies (24), then you would need 2 cups.
If you wanted to make three times as many cookies (36), then you would need 3 cups.
So how many 12's go into 108?
That's the number of cups of milk that you need.
Another way to think about it, is to set up ratios:
1 cup / 12 cookies = X cups / 108 cookies
Then cross multiply (top of one fraction times the bottom of the other fraction) : 1 X 108 = 12X and solve for X by dividing both sides by 12.
Have fun.
