First, explicitly define variables. Example:

Bad: x = adult tickets

Good: x = number of adult tickets sold

 

Bad: y = student tickets

Good: y = number of student tickets sold

 

Now we have two relationships which can provide two equations for you.  What are they?  Is there now sufficient information to solve the problem?
