This is an example of a dilution calculation.
(1) C1V1 = C2V2
C is the concentration
V is the volume
(2) C1 = 12 M, V1 = 75 mL
(3) C2 = x V2 = 250 mL
(4) 12 M * (75 mL) = x * (250 mL) Notice that my volume is in mL, that is ok as long as the volume is mL for both V1 and V2
(5) C2 = 3.6 M
